One Father's journey may be another Father's hill to climb - I share 6 life applications that have worked for me - See to the right ---->
Faith – Live by it
Affection – Show it
Time – Spend it Hope – Offer it
Encouragement – Give it
Reliable – Be it
Faith is often connected to believing in God, that the Heavenly Father exists and will provide love, protection, wisdom, advice, resources and life tools for his children under any circumstance. Sounds like a good model to follow for any father to provide the same.
Man up and show it. Men sometimes have problems showing affection, not so much to our daughters but more so toward our sons who probably need it more. Most important our children need our presence, but also important is our affection, our hugs and kisses of reassurance.
Spend it wisely, you can't get it back. However, you can pay it forward by investing it. Quality time spent (Dad with children) is huge.
A hero comes to the rescue at a time of need. A father gives a child hope by being a hero or at the very least he offers it by being the biggest supporter of his child's dream.
Courage is in the middle of the word 'Encouragement' - Negative words tear down, Positive words build up. Fathers be courageous, be humble when you're right and admit when you're wrong. Build up lives with positive reinforcement.
Say what you mean and mean what you say, but more importantly always be respectable, responsible and reliable. Only make promises you can keep. Many dreams are extinguished by broken promises.
